Job Description

FP&A responsibility for total business including

  • Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and Forecast
  • Total Business Presentations including M5 and MRD decks
  • Cost management over Advertising and Promotion, Warehouse and Distribution and Sales, General and Admin costs.
  • Financial Management for the Coffee Solutions business – machines and ingredients

Responsibilities / Key activities

FP&A

  • Lead role in consolidating, reporting and explaining total P&L for JDE UK&I business
  • Lead reporting for AOP, M5 and MRD and other LT requirements
  • Work alongside the Marketing and Sales Finance teams to improve business partnering and drive financial accuracy and accountability
  • Supported by four direct reports, managing the business performance analysis support, driving the key FP&A processes: Business partnering with the leadership team, automation of management reporting, AOP, monthly M cycles and Quarterly Latest Estimate submission.

Cost Management

  • Role has one direct report that manages W&D and SG&A costs and OWC
  • Ensuring costs are well managed, forecast accurately, cost drivers understood, risks and opportunities quantified etc.
  • Business partners are supported and challenged

Coffee Solutions
-         The role will support the Commercial Director of Coffee Solutions to provide business insights to maximize performance and ensure accurate reporting and processes are efficient.

Team management

  • Lead and coach the team to deliver step change performance supporting risk and opportunity evaluation and actions implementation to deliver results
  • Manage team engagement including implementation of Gallup action plan and other team activities (Insights, volunteering etc)
  • Pro-actively participate in broader functional finance leadership, talent and succession planning. Contribute to broader business development projects / stretch assignments.

Qualifications

Education

  • Qualified accountant with c5 years post-qualified experience

Experience

Must have:

  • Excellent people management skills
  • Ability to communicate with and influence people at all levels within and outside the organisation
  • Commercial acumen
  • Ability to work on own initiative / Proactive
  • Ability to prioritise workload
  • Good written and oral communication skills – framing complex in a simple and concise way for non-finance stakeholders
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and under pressure
